Pacifiic Roadtrip and Beyond

Yesterday was the last time that we entered Canada. Now southward and onto home! Taking a detour into the Olympic Rain Forest the girls squeezed in another Junior Ranger badge before heading down the Hall of Mosses. The trees there were remarkable with the green moss hanging down almost like curtains. Seeing baby salmon and banana slugs of three colors were some fun wonders to find. If reading this during a meal or snack, wait until you are done before speculating why the “recycling” banana slug could not only be yellow and green, but also black. We wanted to steer clear of the dark ones in fear of somehow touching the dirty, smelly substance they had consumed. We planned to stay in Astoria two nights after arriving quite late at the KOA. Another late night going to bed without our proper bedtime routine!
