My diary

POV Shin Cher Ron

I don’t know how long I’ve been in here but it’s been long. I regret and don’t regret what I did. I feel remorse but at the same time I feel good. I told Chang how I feel but I also threatened his life. Nobody’s come by for however long I’ve been here, I don’t know his situation. I could have killed him from my one sharp blow. I feel awful.

“Open cell number 5” someone says. I can’t even remember if that’s mine.

“But sir-” a guard protests.

“I said do it” and in a couple of minutes I’m released out into the open air with my cousins who I tried to kill. Chang is limping and holding his side, looking straight ahead. Chi looks unscathed, physically at least.

“I am sorry.” I utter.

“Save it.” Says Bubby Chi.

“No, this is important, brother. Apologies need to be said. Like us,” Chi looks at his brother flabbergasted, “we are deeply sorry we made you feel like less of a person and we will immediately address your parental situation when we return home.” Chang faces me and looks me straight in the face. I guess I must have punched him in the face during our fight since a huge circle surrounding his eye is purple.

“I forgive you. You should have come clean sooner, this could have been solved years ago.” he says to me. I blush out of feeling so foolish and start to tear up a little bit.

“Thank you, Bubby Chang and Bubby Chi. You both a truly heroes.”
