Visit To Sweden

History-The first people in Sweden were hunters and gathers about 10,000 years ago. For the first century in the A.D. period the Swedish had connections to the Roman Empire. The Swedish called their land Sverige after a vicious war tribe Svea. Up until 1544 they had a parliament. Now they have kings and queens and rule over both Finland and Norway.

Demographics-The population of Sweden is 9,644,864 people. The official language of Sweden is Swedish. People born in Sweden have the nationality of Swedish. The main ethnic group in Sweden is Swedes .There are also 5 minor languages spoken such as Sami, Meankieli, Finnish, Romani chib and, Yiddish. The average life expectancy in Sweden is 81 years old. 99% of people 15 and older can read and write. The main religion in Sweden is Christianity which 66% of the population belong to.

Geography- In the region known as Scandinavia in northern Europe. Large forests cover half of the country. Over 100,000 lakes. In the fall and spring their are lights that appear in the sky called the "Northern Lights". The weather is different depending on which part of the country you are at. In the winter its very cold because of the Artic Circle. During the other seasons it usually stays above 32 degrees.

Trip-I plan on going to Sweden during the holiday of Waffle Day. Waffle Day is March 25 every year. I will go to the capital of Sweden and celebrate the holiday during Fika Time. Fika Time is like a break to have coffee and other foods. I will leave on March 23rd and stay

until the 26th.I'll hopefully go to Central Stockholm and site see.

Expenses-A round trip to Stockholm ,Sweden is $2,314. I will stay in Hotel Hellsten, for four days it'll cost $368.I will dine out at Urban Dumplings everyday to save money. I will bring $150 USD which is 1253 in Swedish Krona(SEK). The total cost of this trip will be $2,682.
