Visit To Japan

History-The first people in Japan came in 35000 B.C. This group of people called the Jomon and Ainu survived off of fishing hunting and plant gathering. The first emperor was in 660 B.C. The had emperors up until the military changed the rules. During WWI the Japanese fought against the U.S. for 4 years. During this time America dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Japanese surrender a few days later, and now its the present.

Demographics-Japan has a population of 127,220,000 as of 2014. People who are born in Japan have the nationality of Japanese. Some of the ethnic groups are 98% Japanese, 0.6% Korean , 0.4% Chinese, and 1% other . Though having many types of Japanese people majority of them speak Japanese. Shinto and Buddhism are the major religion of Japan. The average lifespan is between 80 and 86 years old. 99% of people 15 years and older are able to read and write in some type of Japanese.

Geography- Japan is made up many inter-connected islands. The sea of Japan separates Japan and the Asian continent. Half of the country has mountainous areas and forests. Climate varies depending on which region you live in.

Trip- I plan on going to Japan during the Hanami festival which is celebrated the months of March, April, and May. The Hanami festival is the celebration of the Cherry Blossoms blooming. The Japanese have picnics, pageants, and parties underneath the trees. In America during April its Easter, so I'll go that Easter Sunday, April 16, and

stay until April 21.

Expenses- A round trip from RDU to AOJ airport is $1,705. I will stay in Art Color Hotel, for five nights it'll cost $290.I will dine at Osanai Shokudo everyday to save money. I will bring $200 USD which is 24291 Japanese Yen(JPY). The total cost of this trip will be $1,995.
