Bec just turned 21 so we decided to throw her a Mexican themed house party. I was in charge of the birthday cake and making dinner for "the family' before the party started. I made a big batch of Chilli Con Carne so we could have burritos for dinner and then (as per Bec's request) made a triple layer chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling and a rich chocolate ganache topping. It turned out better than I ever could have hoped and was devoured at lightining speed. We set up a dance space and beer pong table in the basement, which can be a little creepy, but was given a make-over for the party. Lauren, Cass and I spent most of the night dancing to old school tunes in the lounge and had the time of our lives.
