Help! We've caught the travel bug.

After a few days of chilling out with family and friends back in Christchurch, Michael and I decided to try our hand skiing the slopes of Mt Hutt on Thursday the 24th (special thanks go out to Debbie who lent us all the gear). Michael had only ever been snowboarding before but was zooming around on the skis within a few minutes. It took me a bit longer to feel comfortable and I spent quite a while practising on the beginners slope before braving the more advanced runs.
I managed to strain the medial ligament in my knee after a fall very early on in the day but I didn't let it stop me from making full advantage of our day in the snow (although I did have to visit the Physio a week later when the pain didn't go away)
The next day, Michael and I joined Damien and Viv for a road trip down to Dunedin for the weekend to celebrate Darian's, 21st Birthday.
We only had a few days back in Christchurch after our long weekend away. On Wednesday, Michael, Viv, Ali, Zoe and I spent the day in the city centre, visiting the Re:START container mall, riding the tram and exploring the museum before heading back to their house for a delicious dinner and a crazy night filled with laughter.
On Thursday, we packed our bags and had a final lunch of Fish and Chips with Helen and Michael Snr before our mammoth flight up to London
(Opposite - top to bottom: Mount Hutt skiing, the family at Darian's 21st, Enjoying some ice-cream in the city with Ali and Zoe)
