Thanks to JK Rowling being a frequent customer when she lived and taught English in Porto for two years in the early 1990s, 4,00o to 5,000 people queue their way through this shop every day for a 5 euro fee that is refunded to the few who actually buy a book She had noticed that the forked spiral staircase seems to swirl from a certain angle which inspired the moving staircase in the books and movies. I just took a photo of the outside of the building and nicked a couple of photos off the internet for the inside.
