In Madras (Chennai) South East India very hot and sunny. Our tour of Madras also took us to some temples carved in the rocks quite impressive. Their roads are in complete chaos with the addition of very large sacred cow's roaming around the street's. Nearly all Indians speak English and nearly all are Hindu. Some Hindustani people don't believe in burial or cremation, they just leave the body outside and let the birds eat them. They believe in good and bad karma, the ones with good karma get reincarnated say as a spider and the ones with bad karma get reincarnated say as a fly who get eaten by the spider (heaven and hell). There are some Indian restaurants here and is the home of Chicken Madras so I just had to have one and very nice it was to, in a goodish restaurant here it cost 1 pound 50p. There is however a couple of dodgy issues, their cast system is not good, if you are top cast you have no respect for lower cast, and treat them very badly, and cast only means what type of job you have, but worst is the men have no respect what so ever for woman, and treat them like slaves. A lot of Gandi look alikes and poverty. We drove past the office who phone me every day (call centre) An interesting day but i don't think we will be back here. Tomorrow is a sea day and the photo is of a group of school children being curious about this white man, both photos are a place called mamallampuram they should have seen me 3 months ago.
