Okay so from this day on, we were settling in Tokyo at Natsumi's house, and our plan was to have a "One-Day Trip" to somewhere around Tokyo. Our first ideal plan for today was to visit "Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort", as it is situated in an ideal location, we were certain to pin this place on our "Must Visit List" from the very beginning.
So like many reviews suggested, the most convenient way to access this ski resort is to go via Shinkansen. We boarded the train from Ueno Station, and headed directly to Gala Yuzawa Station. For this trip, there's no need to worry about getting off at wrong station as most of passengers on this train were probably heading to the same destination (judging from the ski gear they have brought hahaha) So Yeahhh it was pretty convenient to get there, and not to mention that I hold the JR Kanto Area Pass which offered a special promotion to this place with a very good deal! it was so damn tempting to spend time at this renowned ski resort!! Haha
Alright, so as soon as we arrived at the station, first thing to do was to rent the ski gear (or exclusively only for this time ...a sledge board Hahaa). Considering our zero skiing skill and our poor unhealthy self today, We decided to just stick to something easy like building a snowman and have a snow fighting LOL...so yeahhh we purchased the "Snow Fun Package" with no doubt!
As we got ourselves into the snow suit and made our way on to the Gondola, I suddenly realized one of the biggest mistakes of today....I had left my camera at Natsumi house!!! Arghhhh! Stupid again Neen! Anyway, the hatred for myself has gradually faded away once I saw the weather outside! Ha! it was heavily snowing that I hardly saw a thing. It would have been a big burden for me to carry that camera around, and even impossible to hide it away from heavy snow! So all the pictures you will see in this chapter were captured by my crappy phone! Apologies for the poor quality in advance Hahaha!
Back to the story, I have to admit that Ching and I, we have always been eager to see snow as of course what do you expect from the little two girls from a tropical country! Right...we got so ecstatic every time we were surrounded by snow! jumping around like a crazy kid seeing snow for the very first time even, to be honest! Well it was fun and worth getting up here, so we made sure to make to most of our time there! I promised myself to organize another ski trip next time (when I'm not too lazy of course LOL)
