My diary

Hey There! So this has officially become my very first ever "Travel Journal Online" I promise to take it easy and will try my best not to screw this precious little thing hahaha.

Well no more introduction... let me cut right to the chase then! In this chapter, I am going to tell you my little story about me exploring the world through my lens. My destination this time is none other than the land of Rising Sun, Japan, the country that I'll never get sick of (not until I have seen it all through then hahaha)

What makes this trip so special is the fact that I actually planned out the whole thing 2 months beforehand which is of course quite unusual for a stray traveler like me! So somehow I kinda get a bit cocky that this trip will definitely be an EPIC one! LOL. Nevertheless, I still got lost everywhere I visited though haha, too bad this is my habit now!

So just an overview of my journey, this trip will last for 10 days (from 19-29 December 2014) ranging from Tokyo- Hakone - Kawaguchiko - Nikko - Gala Yuzawa - and back to Tokyo agian. My one and only travel mate for this time is "Ching", my bestie rommie, also from Thailand. And the big sponsor and my personal advisor falls to Natsumi, without whom I would have missed more trains and buses than I already did!

Ok, back to the story! once my plane has safely landed at Narita International Airport, I was really surprised that we arrived 1 hour before the expected schedule! Anyway, that doesn't make any difference as I still have to wait for JR office to be open in order to purchase the JR Kanto Area Pass , which will be used for my trip in few days. So I waited for another 2 hours, and once everything was ready, I headed straight to Tokyo!!

Actually there are several ways to get to Tokyo depending on where you'd like to stop at, in this case, I will be going to Asakusa station (subway), where my hostel is located nearby, so Keisei Access Express train would be the most suitable one! (Plus the price is pretty reasonable and it takes less than an hour to get there!! Perfect choice) To be honest, right at that moment, I was pretty exhausted from my long flight to Japan but I couldn't help but keep my eyes wide open haha, cuz you know what would happen...

Let me touch a bit on my impression about Japan, well as everyone

Let me touch a bit on my impression about Japan, well as everyone

may be aware of the idea of a girl traveling alone in a total foreign country doesn't sound so ideal (especially to my parents), but I can honestly say that Japan would prove this statement wrong!

Being a clumsy and no-sense-of-direction-kind-of-girl as I am, I have always found myself in the middle of nowhere but somehow the lost- kind- of- expression on my face never been left unnoticed by the passerby Japanese!! They are always there to help seriously!!! and Yeahhh Thanks to them, me & my friend are eventually reunited!!

Regardless of some difficulties in finding each other at first, Natsu and I finally managed to meet up at Asakusa! We went to have lunch, strolled around Sensoji Temple a bit, and then ended up having a coffee break at Starbucks where we talked endlessly about what we were up to in our life! Well both of us agree that we should have traveled more before we entered the cruel world of working life

hahaha (too late dude!)

So apart from meeting up with Natsu, I also had one more mission to do for today! Ching and I were planning to go to Shinjuku Station together to buy a Fuji-Hakone Pass for our trip tomorrow, but unfortunately we couldn't make it in time to the Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center which closed sharply at 6.00 pm (Haha no doubt! yeah we were lost again). Well However, I guess our trip to Shinjuku was not really wasted in vain since we also learnt which route is best to get to Shinjuku Station.

** My tips for Shinjuku Station: Take Subway-Asakusa Station (Via Asakusa Line)- Higashi-Nihombashi Station (Via Shinjuku Line)- Shinjuku Station **DO NOT take JR Line! I repeat DO NOT take JR Line>> it takes almost an hour and stops for every damn stations!!
