Study Abroad 2015

We left Moldova early morning August 27th. Once again we drove through the curvy mountainous roads of Romania, back through Budapest, and also through the beautiful country of Slovenia. I didn't take any pictures during this part of the trip, but trust me, it was gorgeous!

Our journey through northern Italy began. We made it safely to Padava to visit with Andrei's aunt after a very brief pause in Venice (thanks to my oncoming bronchitis that made it very difficult to move around much). We then spent a couple days in Rimini, Italy, on the picturesque beach, relaxing, swimming, and strolling along the beach. Next, we spent a day in Trento with several Moldovan sisters who have been working in Italy recently. Despite my illness(es), I managed to get a taste of Italian gelato which was absolutely amazing!!

From Italy, we drove to the South of France. Ah yes, the beautiful beach towns of Cannes and Nice were simply marvelous! The weather was perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and a bit of sightseeing. We stayed with Kostia, Andrei's cousin, and his family (Ana, Madalina (7), and Lavinia (1)) who live 10 minutes away from the Cannes Film Festival! "Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France..." -Ingrid Michaelson, You and I

Our roadtrip finished when we arrived safely back in Paris on September 3rd. Overall, it was an unforgettable time and I hope to revisit many of these places!! Onto the next adventure--Angers!
