Later in the morning we were booked on the Nolita & Noho Food Tasting & Culture Tour. So once we were ready we headed to Nolita (which stands for North of Little Italy) where we found a restored Synagogue which is also Museum. The main reason we went there was to see their big stained glass window. The whole building and the fact that it took 20 years to restored was quite impressive.

We then made our way to the Little Cupcake Bakeshop to meet our tour guide. The tour covered a bunch of history regarding the mafia and just general neighborhood history including the building where it is said the mafia began. We also saw the house where Martin Scorsese grew up. Our first sample was from the Cupcake shop and it was a small Boston Black-Out Cake. It was a very good way to start the tour. Our next stop was across the road at Emporio where they made us fresh white roman style pizzas in front of us. They were extremely good pizzas. White pizza is a kind of pizza without any sauce. All that the pizza had

All that the pizza had

on it was cheese, rocket, tomatoes and prosciutto. After that we stopped at a French restaurant called Tartinery where we tried some red wine and a piece of ratatouille. After a couple of other stops to local shops we stopped at Cafe Habana where we had a cup if corn coated in lime and a chipotle mayo. It was a surprisingly nice combination. From there we went to a small downstairs cafe called The Smile where we tried some ricotta cheese. It was nice but wouldn't be my favorite kind of cheese. Our final stop was Peel which is known for their pastries etc. We got to try a sample of Graham Cracker which tastes very similar to a softer gingernut. Apparently they are commonly used for smores over here.

After our tour we made our way back to Bryant Park where we had a quick look at the New York Public Library which is quite a big building and everything about it seemed to be extremely detailed and well decorated and finished off.

After that we went for a quick drink and grabbed some pizza before heading to Foxwoods Theatre to see Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark. Out of the shows I have been to I would actually say this is the lowest priority to go to. All it had going for it was the aerial stunts and maybe the set but that was about it. There weren't any memorable songs and the story didn't leave me excited. If you are going to New York and want to experience broadway but only going to one

or two shows I'm sure you can find something better than Spider-Man!

That's it for today, only two more full days in New York City before I head out to Newark to stay on Sunday night before my flight back to LA on Monday. Check in tomorrow!
