Taking on Thailand

We took a shuttle to the airport and then flew back to Bangkok. At the Krabi airport we decided to get a cheap hostel for the night instead of spending the night in the airport. I was relieved. On the flight back to Bangkok, Andrea’s ear began bothering her. By the time we took the free shuttle from one airport to the other it was really hurting. The people who worked at the hostel helped a bunch and called around to find a doctor. At that point it was too late to really do anything so I had dinner and talked to some people at home. I planned to meet Drew’s friend Adriana in Chicago during my layover. The 4AM wake up call came too early. We headed to the airport for the long voyage home. Andrea was advised not to fly for 5-7 days but we were going rouge. We both sat in middle seats on the way to Tokyo and suffered through terrible food. When we got to our connection we headed right for McDonalds. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had McDonalds and it hit the spot. I started panicking for the next flight because I had another middle seat. I was thanking the tiny penis we left in the cave that no one sat in the aisle so I could scoot over. The flight still ended up sucking because there was no internet which meant no entertainment. The plane itself was so old the only TVs were in the aisle and we had a bad view of them. It was a very long 10 hours. When we landed in Chicago, I waited for my bags while Andrea ran to get on an earlier flight. My bags took forever and she did not get on the flight. I couldn’t get back on the wifi to meet back up with Andrea so I decided to head into the city. I got on the train with the hopes of making it to the Apple store to buy a new phone. I severely underestimated the walk. I had to stop and ask a few people to make sure I was still on the right track. By the time I got to the store, like the Weeknd, I couldn’t feel my face. I felt like I had walked for an hour through the snow. The good news was, I did purchase a new phone and I was able to get all of my pictures back. Adriana met me at the store and we walked to her favorite sushi place. It was a cute place and the food was really good. After dinner she showed me that the train is actually next door to the Apple store and informed me that I stupidly walked 1.8 miles. It was stupid, but after being on the plan for so long it didn’t feel so bad. When I got back to the airport, Andrea was still there! Her flight was really delayed. I went to say bye to her and then my flight was boarding. After a (relatively) short 2 hour flight I was finally home. Thanks to my new phone I called an uber and after 30 hours of traveling, made it home to snuggle with Chesapeake in my own bed.
