Europe 2017

We woke up in frenzy, which seems to be a trend for us. We walked to the metro station and then took it to the train station. We found a train to the airport and it would only take 30 minutes so we were hype for that. We finally found the train and there was a worker right there and we were asking her if this was the one to the airport and she was telling us to get on so we did! It ended up being a first class train only. We had never seen a train with only one kind of class on it. The lady on the train told us to pay- we pleaded we didn't realize it was first class, we would gladly get off. We would go to second class. We had no idea. But she wasn't having it. It cost 64 euro just to ride the stupid first class train that wasn’t labeled as such. That was SO frustrating. We found the correct terminal and security was a breeze. We found some food there, I got a chocolate croissant and muffin and coffee. We waited at gate and there was a delay. It felt like we were waiting forever. We got on and it was pretty uncomfortable. I was supposed to have the window seat so I could sleep, but I ended up in the middle seat so I couldn't sleep at all.
The food was lasagna and lemon pie and breadsticks and crackers. We landed in Athens and tried to find the new gate. We walked to a gate but weren't sure if it was right. We waited and then found a new gate and waited. We had to board a bus to board the plane. This plane ride had the most incredible views. The window view was of islands that looked like mountains in the ocean. It was so beautiful. We landed in Santorini and found a bus to Fira. We walked around for a bit and found the hostel. We got cash out and met a dog that we named Venus. We finally went to the hostel and it had a weird bubblegum smell. We ventured out and got dinner of gyros and Greek yogurt at this restaurant. They had fantastic taziki sauce. We walked around and this stupid boy was trying to hit on us. We saw jewelry and paintings and more dogs and really good gelato.
Something about a dilly bar? We sat on the porch of our hostel and I talked to Abby and Hannah while they played cards. The hostel was so bad. The bathroom floor was so wet always and smelly and the bed was like little knives sticking in my back. no, big knives. I had to like pad the bed with my clothes and use my clothes as a pillow. It was a pain.
