Europe 2017

We met upstairs at 10 for a short class before worship. It was about our relationship with God. We then went downstairs for worship and the congregation was welcoming as usual. Today in Verviers, no cars are allowed on the streets. That caused some of their members to be unable to attend, so there weren't as many people there as last time. After services, we filed back upstairs and prepared for lunch. It is like we have potluck every Sunday. Also all the other days. We had pork, potatoes, "good salad" (that is its for real name), corn on the cob, and bread. After lunch, I worked on some literature homework. Every unit we have to write two responses to some prompts on a discussion board. This unit is on poetry, which I am terrible at writing but love reading. Those responses came pretty easily and then I decided to take a nap. Everyone was napping when I was doing homework and then when I started to go to sleep, everyone else woke up. Pretty bad timing, but I was still able to sleep after a bit. There were also some crazy Belgians screaming on the streets so that didn't help. After my nap, it was dinner. I walked out of the room and everyone was walking upstairs for dinner. I was super confused, especially in my after nap clouded mind. They took all the dinner spread upstairs so we could watch a movie while we ate. We were eating "bread," which means a spread of meats, cheeses, fruits, and bread. There was also popcorn for the movie. We voted between "The Tourist" and "Rogue One." I love Star Wars, but I have seen that movie a lot and had never seen "The Tourist." We ended up watching "The Tourist," and it turned out to be a pretty funny/entertaining movie. It was a nice relaxing dinner and time spent as a group. I appreciate the spontaneous movie nights. After the movie, I Facetimed Mom and Ansley and then it was tea time. During tea time, I uploaded all of my London pictures onto Facebook. A lot of them are repetitive, but I just couldn't pick/was too lazy to sort through them all to find the best ones. I also Facetimed Ben today, so that made my day perfect. That boy is a keeper.

Fun Facts: I ate a plum for the first time today. I liked it. Trivia Crack is making a come back amongst us.

Shoutout: My brother, Barrett, because you have heard of Manneken Pis in your 7 wonders game and that makes me laugh. I am sorry I didn't buy you a souvenir featuring the little boy, but I have some pictures to make up for it.
