Visiting Robben Island was one of the things I really HAD to do in Cape Town. It's just so well-known and one of the mayor tourist attractions here. And actually because of this, everything was rushed and to tour group was too big. But on the positive side, we had a really nice guide who was a former political prisoner of Robben Island. He told us about his own experiences and some anecdotes about prison life in general. It was actual really interesting. Ofcourse he showed us the cel of Nelson Mandela. In addition to this we also had a short bustour that made it possible to see the village, the mine, the cemetery and more.
