The year of the sausage – comin’ up!
2016 is here – the year of the sausage – according to old Chinese sayings. I mean really old, older than those years of different animals everyone is talking about. This is going to be my year! Finally!
Not that I’ve had bad years since I met Mia, trust me, I’ve had some quite hardkorv times. However, I believe 2016 will be the year I pop the question. And what can beat that? Well, a “no” of course, but I’m optimistic.
It’s sad that Mia decided to celebrate New Year’s without me. However, I do not hold a grudge, that’s not a sausage’s nature. It is also a feeling one learn a lot from – to get to miss the one you hold dear once in a while.
So, I’m not complaining. What is a nice, bright and hot day in Central America, compared to a windy, pretty dark New Year’s Eve on Tjörn – one of both mine and Mia’s favourite West Coast islands?
Happy New Year Mia – wherever you are! I miss you!
(Your colleague escorting me to Tjörn mentioned that she misses you too.)
