So much to see and do in Paris! We walked from the apartment in the direction of Place de la Concord. On the way we investigated the famous Angelina Cafe which is a spot we want to revisit later in the week. The hot chocolate is very famous. On the way we investigated the famous Angelina Cafe which is a spot we want to revisit later in the week. The hot chocolate is very famous. Coco Chanel was a regular at Angelinas for the hot chocolate. We went in and looked at their range of patisserie and our mouths watered. But that is all for another time. We are on a mission to visit the Army Museum today, so onwards we walk.

What we thought would take two hours, took all day. We visited The

Musee de l'Armee (Army Museum) which is a national military museum of France located at Les Invalides in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

The Musée de l'Armée was created in 1905. We saw ornately carved artillery gathered during the French Revolution, old weapons and armour from the 13th to the 17th centuries, uniforms, weapons and arms from Louis XIV to Napoleon III era, 1643–1870. We followed the fortunes of the French Army from 1871 to 1945, and the two great conflicts of the 20th century.

We visited the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte and his brothers Jerome and Joseph Bonaparte. The pomp and circumstance is unmistakable. We were overwhelmed how much conflict and bloodshed France has experienced throughout it's long history.
