Ships log day 31

Travelled 9500 miles very hot and sunny. Tomorrow Nuku Hiva is our next port of call one of the remotest islands on earth. Todays trivia, Herman Melville an American writer in the 1840's was a sailor on a whaling ship, was at sea for 6 months without seeing land jumped ship at Nuku Hiva after seeing how beautiful it was and wrote Moby Dick. We had our evacuation drill again today, as you can see from the photo I was in the shower and a bit unprepared, and dashing out the door.

You could have warned us about that photo before we opened it! Just as well you are going to one of the most remote islands in the world looking like that! Hehe.
