As I hove done a train/coach trip and saw the Southern rim of there Grand Canyon ,I took a helicopter to see all from the air .AN AMAZING SIGHT. !The Grand Canyon National Park ;Oe crosses the Colrado Plateau,a 130,00 square mile bulge in the earth surface. Most of the plateau remained flat but it is the uplift and down cutting that have created the canyon.Aboute six million years ago, the Colorado River began to carve its way down through the domed region on its way to the sea., The mile deep river canyon exposed multi-hued layers of time, a geologist dream ..Erosion by wind, watering gravity not only widened the canyon. I got a DVD of the flight .
