We visited one of the most famous main political prisons, I learned that in here people who were believe to plan against the East German government where taken. The tour guide told us that the prisoners here were not meant to die but to confess guilty. The tortures used here were more directed towards the mental health of the prisoner, for example they were taken to a black solitary cell for days or even weeks, the wallpapers in their interrogation rooms match the ones in their homes. One of the things that I found amazing was how well the STASI knew to make their prisoners work under pressure, all their strategies to keep everything in control inside the prison. After the tour of Hohenschönhausen we went to a supermarket where I bought some gummies and chocolates as souvenirs from my friends. On our way back to the hotel a man was being too friendly and we decided to make a plan if he tried something. At the end the man continue on the tram once we got off it and continue our way.
