On April 22nd, we arrived at the port in Copenhagen-another beautiful city.
We took a bus and the metro to the city center. Our walk took us through a lovely park and then to the statue of Andersen’s Little Mermaid.
From there, we continued our walk to the Royal palace - Amalienborg. This is the official residence of the Danish royal family. It consists of four identical classical palace façades with rococo interiors around an octagonal courtyard; in the center of the square is a monumental equestrian statue of Amalienborg's founder, King Frederick V.
We then saw Frederik’s Church with its famous green dome.
From there we made our way to Nyhavn which is a 17th-century waterfront, canal and entertainment district. There we indulged in a delicious polse hot dog while sitting by the canal.
Then, back to the ship!
