Morocco 2015

Took the train from Casablanca to Rabat. Rabat has been the capital city of Morocco since independence. Marrakech and Fez had both been previous capitals but when the French invaded Morocco in 1912 and set up a protectorate they decided to relocate the capital from Fez to Rabat. When Morocco achieved independence in 1956 Mohammed V, the then King of Morocco chose to the the capital remain at Rabat.
Rabat is a big change from the crazy traffic and crowded streets of Casablanca, Rabats large palm lined boulevards are well kept and the traffic is much calmer.
