My diary

Woke up and had a late breakfast because I went out last night. Breakfast was very good. Ken walked us round, we walked right into the middle of the street, it was safe! We had lunch at a waffle place which was amazing. I had a waffle with chocolate ice cream, Nutella and banana. We then walked to the prisons where the French kept the Vietnamese communists during the war. Vietnamese then kept the Americans there during the war. The French treated the Vietnamese very badly. The war with America started because the US were scared of the Vietnamese communists. The US then fabricated that the Vietnamese bombed a war ship so they invaded. The Vietnamese kept the Americans there but treated them very very well. The aim was so show them the Vietnamese way and this got them support from all over the world and eventually when the war was over, the prisoners left with all their belonging. we then walked to the best uni in Vietnam which was beautiful and there was a graduation going on as well. We then got a taxi to the place where Ho Chi Minh was embalmed but the taxi dropped us off nowhere close and charged us so so much for a 5 minute journey. We walked and managed to find it but couldn't go inside. Was a beautiful big building with guards. We then got motorbikes back to the hotel. We went to watch a water puppet show. It was very random but fantastic. Puppets would float around and dance on the water while the band would talk for them and create sound affects. I wouldn't go again but definitely glad I went! We then went to dinner at a weird local place upstairs and the food didn't look good so I just ate the rice. For some reason I didn't feel great but went out for one drink. It was fun but too sweaty so me, Sarah and Cara walked home wth Toby. Claire was also at the hotel because she had bad period cramps and couldn't come out. She went to get dominos and put her GHDs in a sock to create a hot water bottle. Very clever girl ??
