We visited Harvard University this morning, which is a very pretty part of the city. Lots of old pretty buildings both inside the university walls and around them. We visited one of the libraries which had an exhibition about the history of passports and identification. It was really interesting and the room also had a good collection of lovely rare books.
We then took the train to the Warren Museum of Medical Oddities which is held at the Harvard Medical School which, for the record, is not in the same location as the the rest of the Uni. The museum was quite small but had some really interesting and slightly creepy exhibits.
We took the train back into town and wandered through the shopping district on Newbury Street. The street had some really fancy shops that we didn't bother going into, but we did manage to do some more shopping.
We then headed back to our hotel for a short while before going back to the train station to have dinner in Little Italy. We found a restaurant that had some delicious, fresh, home

made pastas and got a seat on the second floor by the window which allowed us to watch locals and visitors wandering the streets below. It was a really nice way to spend our last evening in Boston.
We have now returned to our hotel to pack our things and get ready for our trip to New York by train tomorrow. We have enjoyed Boston, despite a couple of days of wet and cold weather. It has been really easy and fast to get around the city on the metro train system, and it seems like a really easy-going liveable city.
