Hooray for Hollywood

From Key West we headed to Hollywood Florida. This is where we will store our Airstreams while we are on our cruise on April 1st.

We attended a social that was thrown by some nice folks from the South Florida Unit. The next day, March 30, Helen Deavers, our travel agent, came to visit us and go over the cruise and answer any questions we had.

Saturday, March 31, was a free day. We were close by, so we decided to revisit the Premier Hotel where we had our honeymoon

46 years ago (our anniversary was coming up shortly). What a big change. The hotel was an affordable option near the ocean for us way back when. In fact, Pat’s parents had stayed there in the 60's. Now it's a boutique hotel with a large addition. The whole area is much more upscale.

Since Easter was April 1, the day we would depart for our cruise, we attended Easter Vigil at Nativity, a local Catholic Church. This was also the name of the Church that we attended growing up on the Northside as well as grade school through 8th grade.

For us, this was one of the best Easter Vigils we ever attended. The setting, music and community were wonderful. A great send off.
