So its early morning on the 20th December and we are both up and sharing Frosties by 6am.
The journey was long, but I have to say not as long as I had anticipated or remembered. Given that I had down loaded half of Netflix to watch, I did surprisingly little.
Singapore airlines was recently rated No1 in the world in a poll in The Daily Telegraph - with British Airways coming 34th for those, like me, that can’t manage without the sense of schaudenfreude involved. And it showed.
In size of seats, in level of comfort in the food, in the service. i managed to watch Glenda Jackson going full out for a Bafta in Elizabeth is Missing, and a film about the perils of having a couple of alligators in your basement, plus three episodes of The Politician. I ate, I slept, I ate, I slept, I ate, I ate and I ate.
We were out of the airport and into the cab and into our delightful air b and b apartment in less than an hour, and played at setting up home until sleep too kits hold again around midnight.
All in all a fabulous journey and as much part of the holiday as we hope of what is to come
