My diary

So we finally got on the boat in Tianjin. China it turns out is very very strict to exit the country. The girls and Rene spent 3 days going to various markets within China to buy stuff for the boat, and when we got to the dock, they wouldn't allow any of it onboard. We tried everything, including bribery to no avail. Apparently, it's a thing here in China. They keep and/or confiscate whatever they want.

So we got onto the boat, had our life raft meeting (I'm in Muster group B) and proceeded to tour the boat. I got the lay of the land regarding what I was doing for the next 20 days and then we all went to the bar.

Fast forward to Tuesday Morning. We've now been on the deadhead for 5 days. There are only 30 of us on this ship right now. We haven't stopped moving. We've gotten a lot done for work, but when we aren't working, the schedule is as follows. Workout, eat, drink, eat, drink, eat, drink, sleep.

It's exhausting. I haven't been hungry at a single meal yet. There is food everywhere. The boat staff offer you things every time you turn around. I had to deny a drink while walking from deck 6 to deck 4 three times. Insane. They say hello all the time. I'm greeted about 15 times from when I leave my room to any point on the boat.

We've been on rough waters for the last 3 days. It feels like you're constantly drunk or in an earthquake. I am excited to stop moving once we get to Singapore.

We've got 2 more days untill we reach land. I hope my liver and clothing makes it.
