Europe

I headed for a coffee, the family Johanson was open & I ordered a flat white, I’d seen an espresso machine & two bean hoppers behind the counter, I received my coffee but hadn’t heard any “coffee machine” noises, the coffee was ok for a machine coffee but not what I’d expected at all, this was supposedly the best coffee shop in Oostende.
I went to the tourist information to hire two of the “Oostende during the Great War” self guided audio walks & went to the apartment to collect Richard. We each had an iPad & headphones & we set off for number one. Whilst some of the stops had no direct relevance to the story being told it was interesting & had been based on diary excerpts from a 52 year old tram conductor. It rained lightly when we first set out but then the sun came out. The walk took us about 1 1/2 hours. We then headed to the fish palace for some lunch, I had a seafood boulliabaise & Richard ray, it was really nice.
