Paul and Maureen's European Adventure

Today we departed Vienna for Salzburg. We stopped at the lovely little town of Durnstein to pick up our boat for a 2 1/2 hour cruise along the fast flowing Danube to Melk. Sunshine along most of the way made the most of the amazing scenery. After touring Melk Abbey it was on to Salzburg.
Day 2 and we were up for a walking tour of the town and after we took the funicular up to the castle for a great view of the city.
After lunch it was off to the Eagles nest (built for Hitler) and more stunning views from high in the mountains above the clouds.
