We spent our final night at Malcolm and Pauline’s B&B before a “last supper” with Josh and Jackie plus Nick and SJ plus of course all the kids. Jackie arrived with a Serval kitten (wild cat) which had been rescued after a fire near their farm………..a beautiful but clearly traumatised little beast. The care and attention heaped on this orphan by Jackie and the kids spoke volumes for their commitment to the welfare of African wildlife…..what wonderful and extraordinary

The flight home from Harare was uneventful apart form everyone trying desperately to overcome the weight restrictions on their luggage after purchasing too many sculptures and Zim stuff!
…………and so we have reached the end of our Zimbabwe Adventure. Its now time for some thanks to
Fixer Innes for letting us use the Bank of Ron and for herding us cats for most of the holiday and of course for “being ever so humble at Innes Landing……not”
Terry for being a top Quartermaster once more and her bottomless handbag
Firelighter Trev for keeping us warm in Sable Lodge and while camping on the Zambezi
Di for teaching us the infallible Gin Algorithm” and for all the fab u lous G&T’s throughout the holiday
Ian for teaching us all how to catch Tiger fish
Pat for not throwing a wobbly in the Boma when she realised she didn’t like cows AND for looking after her hair so well
Jan for overcoming her fear of snakes and spiders again AND for feeling as privileged as I do to have spent time with the folk of AWMC and to have had such a brilliant Zim experience with THE ADVENTURERS!! Get in!
