Hello my name is Louisa and i am studying to work in botany. I decided this year to leave in gab year. My gapper's profiles is rather the careerist, so I think this kind of trip is perfect for me. I travelled in France in a wild valley between Haut-Languedoc and the Cévennes. I travelled with Woof. I worked in an aromatic plant farm, run by a very nice couple. I left for discover a new place but also to fill my resume with new relevant professional experiences. This couple cultivates dried herbs to make essential oils and floral waters. They also has a

forestry activity. I have discovered many species of plants and how to grow them.

During this trip, i participated in each stage of production depending on the season, like weeding, picking, drying, sorting plants, put the plants are bottled or bagged, or maintain the wall. My days always started with one or two hours of weeding then picking of (for example) rose or chamomile. I had the right at the beginning of the afternoon to several hours of break. I took the opportunity to visit the surroundings. I helped again in the evening. I sorted the plants in the drying room. In one year, i visited many tourist places in Haut-Languedoc and in the Cévennes.
