Shanghai

We have changed three different neighbourhoods in Shanghai, all in Pudong and we loved exploring the areas wherever we were. Pudong is great for families with kids and it's easy to navigate the city on your bike.
Lujiazui is the famous downtown area where Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower and the Financial Centre are nested. It's a great place to walk around or go inside the towers and malls.
We used to live close to the french caffee "La Parisienne" and get the ferry from there to go to Cool Docks. Walking by the river and then chill in one of the coffee shops while watching the boats was another favourite weekend or after work experience that we enjoyed doing.
Kerry Centre, Century Park, Science and Technology Museum, the market, Jinqiao where we live now are other areas where you can go as a family or enjoy a spa day. Having a brunch or going for a drink at night are also recommendable.
We really like the german restaurant 'Paulaner' not only because it has a huge play area for kids but they organise October Fest, Christmas Markets, Dog's birthday parties and the food and craft beer are worth it too. The one we go to is in the Expo Area where you can find malls, museums and the Mercedes Benz Arena for concerts, skating or other activities.
Living in Jinqiao, HOW museum is relatively close to us so I like checking out what exhibitions they offer.
VIP cinemas, lots of play areas for younger kids, shopping malls and other indoor options are mostly offered in Pudong.
