The confirmation email is in, I have access to my online travel platform and I'm in the process of finding flights ... wow I am really going to Peru. It feels a little weird, and I suppose it'll only really be real when I get to the airport when I leave. Which will only be in October so there's plenty of time to learn the language and get used to the idea of spending eight weeks teaching children in Peru how to speak English. I'm so excited!! I'll be using this blog to document my adventure, so if you want to follow me on my trip, look out for updates from around the 19th of October onwards (I know that's still really far away). I'll be going to the Sacred Valley (see the picture below), which is situated at around 3300 m above sea level. I'll be close to the city of Cusco, which just keeps reminding me of that animated movie 'the emperors new groove' which has a llama in it who is called Kuzco and is the emperor of all the land and is an incredibly spoiled llama. Now if you will excuse me I am going to go look for flights!
