Moscow Winding Down...

Moscow, 08.04.2017

Had one of those hostel nights last night. Couple of young American guys showed up late and proceeded to keep everyone in the room awake for a good hour and a half. Immature young punks who really have no respect for others. Gotta expect that occasionally. Just have to roll with it and don't let it bother you. Got up and was a little unsure on what I should do today. Had heard about the TV tower and also the Space Museum which were near to each other. Decided to walk to them because they looked fairly close. Bad move. Two and half hours later I arrived at the TV tower. Hadn't planned on going up but thought now that I have walked so far I am damn well going to the top. The security was so intense at the tower. My passport was checked 4 times and my bags camera and money belt 3 times. Crazy, but they don't take any chances on a building that tall. Good view, but not worth the money spent to do it. Went to the Space Museum after which was really interesting and well worth the visit. I knew the Russians had done a lot with there space program, but all that they had done in the sixties was very much at the forefront of space travel. They weren't shy to show the ones that failed as well which really surprised me. They had lots of replicas of satellites that were used at different points as well as spacesuits, re-entry modules, rocket boosters and many more. There was some English, so it was easy to follow what they wanted to tell you. Was very tired after leaving the museum so I hopped on the metro and took it back close to the hostel. Got back and first thing I saw was the hostel is going on a pub crawl tonight. Better take a nap!!!! Gotta represent the country and perform properly. Duty calls!!
