You can now all call me Queen Gloria!

I survived!!!
After my frog heart attack I went for a wander around Phi Phi town, had some food and did some shopping. Its amazing at how quickly time passes here! Before I knew it, it was nearly 10.30pm so I thought i’d head back to the bungalow and catch some shut eye so that I could get up early before the tourists arrived in droves on day trip boats. So there I was heading back when all of a sudden I realised I had no clue where I was. Now Phi Phi isn’t exactly large, quite the opposite, however it is very ‘natural’ so often you are walking in the dark with nothing but a torch in hand for comfort. After walking for what seemed like ages I asked a local for directions, to which she replied “ honey, you’re on the other side of the island!”. So it would seem, in my lost state, I had trekked the width of the island! By the time I got back to my side and located my resort, it was gone midnight.
Still feeling on edge about the frog in the other room, I downed a can of beer with a nightol, put my eye mask and ear plugs in, and surprisingly had a great nights sleep.

I was up and out by 8am and boy am I glad! I have heard Long Beach (The Beach) is usually jam packed, however first thing in the morning as I had suspected - it was empty! I finally managed to snooze on the beach, snorkel (although the water visibility was terrible) and get

snap happy.

I also managed to gash my leg on some rocks as the tide was so strong, so my flippers are definitely coming out tomorrow if the sea is going to continue to be this strong!

The view of this beach made the trauma of the previous night worth it too! Granted, I didn’t have to stay on the island and could have done a day trip, avoiding the frog-gate situation altogether, however being on this paradise of a beach this early with hardly anyone else on it made me glad I had endured the mini heart attack. Also, what I didn’t realise was the resort was only a 10 minute walk to the Long Beach - so that was actually a stroke of luck and my silver lining. The trek to the beach was VERY steep terrain, and I nearly went flying at one point as I was too focused on my camera than I was my own safety. Typical photographer.

Come mid-day the boats started to arrive like the locust plague in the bible. It was at this point I decided to grab my stuff and get the hell out of there and head to the docks to catch a boat to Phuket for the last leg of my trip.

Overall it was very lazy not much else to report, other than how much I am in love with my new resort in Karon, Phuket!

The Village Resort & Spa - 566/1 Patak Road Karon Phuket

I feel like a queen!!! It looks the sort of resort you go on honeymoon to (in fact, its only couples here by the looks of things), so I have decided that this IS my honey moon! Yes, I am unmarried and single - But why should I have to be in a relationship to enjoy luxury like this?! Plus I love my life, can afford it and after the last hotel - I damn well deserve this!! So here I am - on my own little 'love myself' honeymoon... Was tempted to head into town to find a fella to bring back to purely fill my bed because it's that big! But I decided I couldn't be bothered and actually prefer to star fish anyway! haha So last night I had a whole entire king size bed to myself and I absolutely loved it!!!

The hotel is SO nice, I didn’t even bother going out. Now bearing in mind i hadn’t showered in 2 days by this stage, so needless to say I had the most amazing shower of my life! I then painted my nails, ordered room service and chilled the hell out in my little nirvana..
