I spent three nights in Tempe visiting my friend Clint and his family and enjoying some basketball conference tournaments on Mill Ave. I really enjoyed the time with friends. Good food down there, great bars, and good chicken wings. As always, I had a nice time with Clint and a relatively relaxing weekend before driving back to Las Vegas. I got a chance to drive through a lot of Phoenix and the Downtown area on this trip and get a good sense for the city. It definetly grew on me this go around.

I stayed at the Hyatt Place Tempe/Phoenix Airport the first two nights before driving an hour out of town and staying at a Hilton Garden Inn. Highlights food-wise on this trip were the N Counter breakfast quick service restaurant (food was top notch, especially for quick service), and the excellent chicken wings at Zipps Bar (we went back twice!).
