Dubai Part II

Nearly 5 years ago His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi generously granted land for the construction of an evangelical church building in Ras Al Khaimah. By God's grace, the building is now complete and the RAK Evangelical Church is beginning to gather here!

On Friday May 12th we headed out for the dedication ceremony of this church plant. It was a little over an hour drive going to Sharjah and onto Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) We followed our friends Kwasi and Sheila in their car.

Their budget for this project was 10 million Dirham which converts to 2.7 million dollars. They did not know how the money would be raised, but God provided and it has finally opened. Everyone from the other Evangelical churches came for the dedication.

It is a beautiful church in a compound of 7 other churches of different denominations. The service was in English, but parts of the scripture was spoken in Arabic, Urdu, and Dari. The sermon was given by Conrad Mbewe, pastor of Kabwata Baptist Church in Zambia.

After the service there were food trucks int he parking lot and all gathered for fellowship.

God is Good and very present in this Arab Country.
