Triere
A very sluggish start for us all today only about 6.5 hrs sleep. Caffeine fix needed.
As for the brekky I bet you can't guess what we had!
We had a quick meeting about the games the night before then it was off to Triere.
Triere is one of the 4 Roman towns in Europe. It was actually a choice between it and the Vatican as to where the Pope would live. The city is very old with a great cobblestone centre of town with lots of shopping. Yes Desigual No Purchase. There we lots of Roman ruins and the Basilica was massive. It had a list of the Bishops who served from 250Ad to present and special crypt for the very important bishops. Had a fantastic steak for lunch and a beer and some 'timeout'. Could have sat there a while mind you but had to get moving.
Found the wifi at Maccas and a couple of other coaches and said I might find another beer. As it was there was a portable wine bar right outside maccas and I had a Rose for 2 Euro. So I had one and watched the world go by.
After Trier I had an afternoon nap - I was knackered and we had some time so what the heck. Training was at 6 but I was a bit sore so I went for a walk to the top of the hill (not a mountain) which took about an hour.
So now we sit after dinner enjoying are wine and talking about everything football.
