Day 3 Grand Canyon

Our stay at the Mirage finally came to an end as we woke up very early to commence our 4 hour ride to the Grand Canyon. The ride towards the Canyon was accompanied by music and beautiful views. After entering the Park our journey and experience began on the Rim Trail located on the South Rim which provided us with many extravagant views at many different view points. One of the favourites was Hopi Point with a 180 degree view including the Colorado River. Hermits Rest route consists of nine canyon overlooks. The whole route is 11km. We decided to walk the first half and the last 2 km, the

rest we bused to each overlook. The views over each overlook are just amazing and I don' t believe any pictures can capture the real beauty of the entire canyon. Such a unique experience that we will never forget.
