Last couple of days at Start Bay much better, got some sunshine! Tuesday 25th we walked to Beesands, popular fish shack there and nice pub (Cricket Inn), great views from the coast path back into Torcross. Back to ‘van dried off, showered the muddy dog as now peeing it down again! Nothing left but to to go to pub and watch the rain. Super pub (Church Farm Inn) with an interesting slide show of the practice D Day landings and the village in war time. Learned the Cornish for lager!! Pretentious prat in the pub though, needed us to know he had a boat, which really impressed me. Hope the weather is kind to him..

Wednesday was a golden ball day with wall to wall sunshine, did next to bugger all. Ambled to Stokely Garden Centre, where they do a fabulous breakfast up to 11:30 and a lovely lunch from 12:00. We got a table at 11:35 so got bugger all. There was nearly a Falling Down moment but thought better of it. Useful to know they do Britstop..
Thursday saw us doing a 2 hour trip to Tintagel via Launceston to pick up our Click & Collect from Tesco. An inspired decision by Mrs H. SatNav took us wrongly through Ermington, where my Uncle and Auntie used to live in the old vicarage. The church has a twisted spire more prominent than Chesterfield but it’s made of stone.
Now sited in the cliff top at CAMC site between Tintagel and Boscastle with cracking views and coastal path from the site. Nice walk into Boscastle, ice cream and a swim for Daisy. Walked back inland.
