Optional:Have the luggage porter service transport your bags directly to your room. The service will cost from €5-12 per bag (depending upon where your hotel is located), which can seem expensive.

Tip: There is a luggage store in Marina Grande, the sea port. Just in case you want to reach Capri and head to blue Grotto before checking in to the hotel. Blue Grotto is best visited in morning to avoid long wait for entry

Alternate way of reaching Capri
In Positano they offer a boat ride over to the island (with up to about 8 to 10 people maximum) and then they circle the island, stopping for people to swim and then they drop you off at Marina Grande

Luggage storage : The fourth store to the right of the funicular provides baggage storage for €2.50/day per bag, from 8:30-6:00.

The Tourist Information officeopen daily from 8:30-8:30PM, The Bar Augusto has internet access from 6:00AM-8:00PM


Transport in capri

The Ferry will drop you at Marina Grande. To reach Piazzetta (Piazza Umberto I), you have 3 options listed in order of preference:

1. The funicular (which departs directly opposite the pier; the ticket office is to the right) runs every 15 minutes & takes 3 minutes for 1.3 euro per person , or

2. Bus :Rides on Capri's miniature orange buses leaving every 15 minutes and cost €1.40. Turn right at the dock's end to walk 200 feet up to the turnabout in the road or

Marina Grande to Capri town (4/hour), Anacapri (4/hour) but the Capri to Anacapri bus gets crowded, so you could take a bus direct from Marina to Anacapri (2/hour)
Anacapri Buses go to Capri (at least 4/hour) and to the Blue Grotto

3. Capri's open-top taxis. The fare for a ride between the port and the Piazzetta is about €15.
