My diary

The British Museum was founded in 1753, and it was the first national public museum in the world. It’s located on Great Russel St. near to Holborn tube station.

We went to British Museum on Saturday evening, after visiting Notting Hill and Portobello. The thing was that we were late, so we had’nt enough time to complete our activities in the museum.

When we were supposed to access into the museum, the guards told us that as a group, we weren’t allowed to entry by the main door, so we had to go back and find the other access.

The other door was in the back of the museum and we had to walk a lot. But, some students and teachers were lost! Because they accessed into the museum by the main door! And we were worried because we didn’t know where were they! I recall when some students were saying to Montse, please don’t abandon us!!

British Museum

When we arrived to the other door, we had to pass a security access control. I remember when some of the students crashed the door with the wall, because the doors doesn’t have doorstop!

Finally we entry into the museum and we met with the rest of the group! And Inma gave us the photocopies, and CHOP-CHOP! We had to find the Egypt room, look for Roseta stone, and the mummies, and finally complete the photocopies. I remember that we were exhausted, and we didn’t have enough energy and time to enjoy the museum.

All I could say about the museum is that I really love its architecture. The facade with its columns, the corridors and halls, and the dome.
