We left a little later from Joplin as there was lots of rain and wind overnight. We took historic route #7 and thoroughly enjoyed the winding roads and met a few logging trucks. We pulled into Hot springs Arkansas ~4:50, checked in, and got some damp wood It was 23 c in the evening when we started our campfire... that was a chore with damp wood. I almost bailed and made Dave take me for supper but with perseverance the fire started! We were going to go into town but as we have a few rainy days ahead we will have lots of time for that and decided to stay by the campfire. Besides, after the work it took to get it going I didn’t really feel like putting it out!
