Today is the day!!!! Yipeeee.

The day is finally here, I'm going to Zimbabwe. I can't believe its really happening. See, I'm planning to begin my masters course and one of the entry requirements is that you should have either lived in or worked in a developing country for 3-6 month, none of which I had done. My original plan was to go to Sierra Leone and organise a placement with an NGO or charity but as I'm sure you are aware, the Current Ebola crisis has meant my travels have been postponed until further notice. *inserts a loud, long sigh*
…Anyway I digress, the opportunity to travel to Harare, Zimbabwe presented itself through one of my best friends who is returning home after completing her masters. Her family very kindly invited me to stay with them for the next 6 weeks whilst I work with a Children's trust. 6 weeks in Mother Africa!! Bring it on!!

All packed and ready, we leave tonight from Heathrow Airport and set upon our 14 hr journey back to the motherland. Wish us luck!!!
