My France Experience

I woke up around 8 am and grabbed breakfast for me and the guys because we have a free day today! We ate croissants, yogurt, and a few other little things that were provided and then headed out around 11 am to do some shopping! We all got ready and then boarded the metro! One of the first places I went in was H and M, while we do have it in the USA but it was a lot different that the one here. I had not packed a lot of black in my suitcase but since everyone else wore it I figured why not try it too! I made a bunch of cute purchases and then we were walking across the street to the lovely yet very pricey Galeries Lafayette! It is though to be "an upmarket French department store chain" that contains over 100 different brands that carry women specialty items (Purses, hats, clothing, perfume, make up, jewelry, shoes, etc.) and Men's (watches, clothing, shoes, etc.) with tourist shopping also! I did make a lot of purchases in this store however it was very pricy so I had to make sure I didn't spend everything I had!
I purchased a nice sun hat, two purses, a hat and jersey for the game (Paris Saint-Germain F.C.) and a few other items! I loved this store because it was most relatable to a mall but instead of everything being in separate shops, it was all out in the open, or the majority of it was anyways.

Part Two
When we had completed our shopping we found an area where you can get your taxes back and they handed us an envelope and gave us instructions on how to get our money back for the taxes. Unfortunately we did not have a credit card so we could not get our taxes back until we left the airport but it was not a huge deal!

We walked out of the side of Galeries Lafayette and that is how we found the cute little place that we ate lunch at! The waiter spoke perfect French from what I could tell but when we spoke words in English he spoke it perfectly too and did not even sound like he had an accent! I should have asked if he was a French native or not but he was very busy. I ordered a piece of pizza with a chocolate éclair and a "drink that is French" which after I said this he proceeded to tell me about globalization but then he handed me a French drink that resembled the taste of lemonade here in the U.S. it was just without the artificial flavors. When I say my food was great it really was! Like the food was amazing! The pizza was made with the big balls of mozzarella and the éclair had rich and creamy chocolate so I did not finish it all and decided to keep it for later!

PART Three

After we left the little restaurant we went off to shop a little bit more, we stopped at shops here and there but did not find much and then when it started raining we walked in between two buildings that had a covered area over the top of it, and it had shops. Mirka had taken us to a few places like this before and I remember her saying that "this is a great place to find Paris original gifts" so we walked in and had a look around! It was awesome! We found a few things including the ring that I bought my sister as a present, and we even found a cool little place that sold vintage looking clothing which was extremely awesome!

Later we left to take a nap at the hotel and change! We left for the Latin Quarter and got on the metro with just enough time to eat, and then go and experience the night life and when I say it was interesting....that it was! There were so many people there that were our age and they were so friendly and fun, and no one made us feel unwelcome until the last place we stopped but I don't even want to talk about that! After all of the festivities we had to make sure to be back on the metro by one because the last ride was at one and if you aren't on then you would probably be paying for a taxi to get home.
