The past two weeks have been casually ordinary, Beijing style.
The highlights :
- a lecture by Rem Koolhaas himself
- double eleven shopping and picking up the packages one by one
! as my grandmother isn't here to make one of the dresses shorter, the local chinese woman in the supermarket had to do :)
- some parties and karaoke (incl. VJ = best architect of India!)
- a trip to some Beijing mountains and Yongning
- finally buying a camera: second hand analogue Nikon EM
- going to the movies and exploring Beijing along the way
- sports: tennis, swimming, kung fu
The school stuff:
- a new Studio has begun, I'm teaming up with Dee from Jamaica this time, we are in the most awesome group B and we have professor Li in the new building: epic!
- bonding with our group to make a 1/100 scale group model
- studying for my chinese language midterm exam --> I did well, yay! :D
- visiting a VR exhibition about the reconstruction of the Old Summer Palace
- writing 2 papers (ok, only finished one in the end :p)
