Hotel California

Beverly Hills, 06/14/2017

We stayed at a Bed & Breakfast outside Beverly Hills since it was the closest place to the Consulate. It was not my favorite place to stay. Was decorated in shabby-chic I guess and our bathroom wasn’t private, but it sufficed for such a few days. I will have to return to Los Angeles once my application is approved and we will find a real hotel since it will be an open visit (no appointment) at the Consulate.

Barb and I did our mother/daughter tradition of hitting every TJ Maxx and Marshalls in southern California.

We met up with Brian, Alina and Tom for dinner one night in Hollywood. Barb was the designated driver, so I felt obligated to help Brian and Alina knock off some Cadillac Margaritas.

The Consulate meeting went well, even though I started out stressed. Plus, with Barbara coming up to the interview window with me, the young man doing the interview seemed to be even nicer!

We took a quick (long) drive to the beach and went serious shoe shopping for me!

The trip was too short and before I knew it I was dropping Barb back at LAX and I was heading back home. My trip was LAX to Munich, Munich to Madrid, Madrid to Las Palmas. So, I left Wednesday night at 8 pm and arrived at Las Palmas at 9 a.m. Friday.
