Curt and Peggy flew out Friday, July 3, leaving 5 of us in Edinburgh. Three (Greg, Carol, and Jeff) went to the Royal Yacht Britannia, formerly owned by Queen Elizabeth II, while the other two went for a last shopping wander around Edinburgh. Of course, we also stopped at the National Library of Scotland.
As we strolled, we passed Greyfriars Bobby, the statue of a 19th century dog who supposedly spent 14 years guarding his masters' grave. We also passed The Elephant House, where J.K. Rowling wrote much of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," which was a very good way to end my trip to Scotland.
