Off to an early start to catch our Austrian Airlines flight to Vienna which fortunately went like clockwork and we arrived at our hotel in central Vienna by early afternoon.
Day 2 got off to a much needed sleep in and general quiet day just walking around the area of the Hotel. Certainly some magnificent buildings..
Day 3. Today we had the last of our sleep ins for our time away as our 2nd trip officially starts this evening when we meet the new group and head out for dinner. We went for a long walk around Vienna across the Danube channel (not the real river) and around back into town.
Day 4 and we are back into tour mode with a fairly early start to Schoenbrunn Palace. Amazing inside but no pictures allowed and the gardens are huge. We cancelled the rest of our days sightseeing owing to rain.
